On May 31, 2023, Mayor Rilling announced that applications are open for the City of Norwalk’s Community Impact Mini-Grant Program, newly established by the Community Services Department.
On May 18, 2023, Mayor Rilling released the following statement regarding his feedback on the draft of a citywide zoning rewrite proposal. The draft was completed by Town Planning and Urban Design (TPUDC), a consultant hired by the Planning and Zoning Department to help establish a comprehensive zoning rewrite proposal for the Planning and Zoning Commission’s consideration and potential adoption.

On May 15, 2023, is the first official day of Beach Season in Norwalk, in which the City starts enforcing parking requirements at its beaches and highly frequented parks, including Calf Pasture Beach, Shady Beach, Cranbury Park, Taylor Farm Park and Veterans Park.
