(Norwalk, Conn.) On May 15, 2023, is the first official day of Beach Season in Norwalk, in which the City starts enforcing parking requirements at its beaches and highly frequented parks, including Calf Pasture Beach, Shady Beach, Cranbury Park, Taylor Farm Park and Veterans Park. 

Every year, Norwalk residents must verify their license plate number in the City’s system to guarantee they can park for free at the City’s beaches and most popular parks from May 15 – October 15 to ensure residents are given parking priority during peak visitation months.

Following recent construction work on a new parking lot at Calf Pasture Beach, the City has expanded resident-only parking and can now accommodate 379 resident-only and 150 non-resident vehicles. This brings the total number of resident-only parking spaces at Calf Pasture and Shady Beach to nearly 650. 

Residents can verify their vehicle by visiting https://hub.norwalkct.gov/ResidentBeachPass/. This includes residents who may have a vehicle registered in another town or city.

All non-resident parking at the City’s beaches and parks is first come, first served. Beach parking fees for non-residents is $42/per car on weekdays before 5:00 pm, $30/per car after 5:00 pm, and $72/per car on Saturday and Sunday.  

Non-residents can access Day Parking passes on the ParkMobile app or at two pay stations at Calf Pasture Beach. The first pay station is on the main sidewalk next to the new pedestrian walkway. The second is in the new non-resident parking area. Day Parking Passes can be purchased on the ParkMobile app or by calling 877-727-5730 and using Beach Zone #2035.
