Census Bureau: 77.5% of people in Fairfield County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 956,446 citizens living in Fairfield County in 2021, 77.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 741,518 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 358,959 were male, constituting 48.4%, and 382,559 were female, making up 51.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Fairfield County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.4%.
