(Norwalk, Conn.) On July 3rd, 2023, the City of Norwalk announced that their Independence Day Concert & Fireworks performance at Calf Pasture Beach, scheduled for July 3rd, is being postponed to Wednesday, July 5th, due to the latest weather forecast showing a high likelihood of rain and thunderstorms for Monday evening.
“Unfortunately, the City of Norwalk is postponing our Independence Day Concert & Fireworks show to Wednesday, July 5th, because of increased chances of rain and thunderstorms in Monday evening’s weather forecast,” said Mayor Rilling. “We know how much this annual fireworks show means to the community, and while we are disappointed it won’t be Monday as planned, we are working to ensure that residents can celebrate and enjoy themselves with live music and fireworks on Wednesday evening.”
On Wednesday, July 5th, the City’s Independence Day Concert & Fireworks performance will follow the schedule initially planned for July 3rd. A band will perform live music at Calf Pasture Beach before and after the fireworks performance. The band’s main performance will start at 7:30 PM. Fireworks will begin at 9:00 PM, and the band will play again following the fireworks performance.
