(Norwalk, Conn.) Today, January 6, 2023, the City of Norwalk announced that there has been a date change to the 2023 Mayor's Ball and that it is now scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2023.

In November, Mayor Rilling announced that he selected Open Doors and Filling in the Blanks as the beneficiaries of the 2023 Mayor's Ball. Open Doors and Filling in the Blanks are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations based in the City of Norwalk. Open Doors strives to make a direct impact in the Greater Norwalk area by guiding every person in the cycle of homelessness towards housing stability. Filling in the Blanks fights childhood hunger by providing children in need with meals.

The Mayor's Ball, established as a non-profit charitable institution in 1993, is an annual nonpartisan event that brings people together to help raise funds for local organizations selected by the Mayor of Norwalk.

The theme of this year's Mayor's Ball is "I Love Norwalk," and the event is being held at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa on 243 Tresser Boulevard, Stamford, CT. Tickets are available for $200 per person, and tables of ten can also be reserved. Tickets can be purchased online at http://norwalkct.org/mayorsball. Check(s) are also an acceptable method of payment and can be made payable to the "Norwalk Community Benefit Fund," and dropped off at the Mayor's Office or mailed to the Mayor's Office with the address: ATTN Irene Dixon, Mayor's Office, 125 East Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851. Reservations with payment will be accepted until April 14, 2023, or until the event sells out. Tax-deductible contributions to the Mayor's Ball can be made at any time.

For more information about ticket reservations, sponsorship opportunities, or to donate a silent auction item, please contact Norwalk City Clerk Irene Dixon at (203) 854-7704 or IDixon@norwalkct.org.
