A number of insects captured near the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center tested positive for West Nile virus, the first time it has been detected in mosquitoes in town this year.
In addition to Greenwich, WNV-positive mosquito pools have been found in Darien, Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, Stratford and Westport this summer in Connecticut.
