104

Mayor Rilling applauded The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk on their exciting announcement that they've joined forces with other leading U.S. aquariums – as members of the Aquarium Conservation Partnership to achieve their long-term goal of carbon neutrality.

“Climate change is among our top priorities in Norwalk, and reducing the amount of CO2 emissions is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to addressing sea level rising and helping to protect our marine life,” said Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling. “I’m proud that the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk has joined forces with 23 other aquariums nationwide to evaluate and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to help fight climate change. As a City and a community, I believe it’s our duty to protect our planet so that our grandchildren and their children have a safe and sustainable place to live.”   #CombattingClimateChange
