On Thursday, Feb. 13, former Stamford High School standout Diego Wirz’s current college team, the Mercy Mavericks, lost 6-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Goldey-Beacom Lightning.

The game took place at USA Baseball National Training Complex. This was their first matchup against the Lightning this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at USA Baseball National Training Complex against Goldey-Beacom Lightning.
